My husband Mohit and I have lived in Woodbury for over 20 years. We have two kids: Zuleika, a college student who graduated from Woodbury High School in 2023, and Jay, who is currently a senior at Woodbury. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, a women’s college outside Boston, and then earned an MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I have professional and personal experience in business operations management, strategic planning, public speaking, and teamwork. I currently work as a marketing consultant.

Throughout the past two decades, I have spent my time and energy on community causes about which I am passionate. In 2019, I was elected to the South Washington County School Board, where I currently serve as Vice Chair. In this role, I also serve on the City of Woodbury Committee; Citizens Finance Advisory Committee; District Ambassador Committee; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Parent Advisory; Personnel Advisory; and Policy Review Committee.

Before serving on the school board, I was an active school volunteer, serving over six years as PTO president, treasurer, and outreach chair; advocating on behalf of the school district at the Capitol; working on behalf of the 2013, 2015, and 2017 referendum committees; and as a parent on the Citizens Finance Advisory Committee.

Since 2024, I have proudly served as the District 5 representative to the Washington County Library Board. I also manage Woodbury Thrives, a health and wellness program of the Woodbury Community Foundation. In this role, I helped create and currently lead the Woodbury Community Garden, which expanded from 16 spots at its inception in 2022 to 143 in 2025.

For our service, the garden committee and I were awarded the City of Woodbury Outstanding Volunteer award in September 2025. You can find me at various Woodbury Thrives events, like park cleanups, vaccine clinics, bike helmet giveaways, and the Woodbury Days bike corral. I am also a member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, which is committed to promoting Woodbury’s economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests.

Outside of work, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends, I love walking Woodbury’s trails and using the Washington County Library to feed my book obsession (my favorite app is the library app Libby). I read almost all genres – if you’ve got any good book suggestions, let me know!
